Ring Size Guide
Finding the right ring size helps ensure a comfortable and secure fit. Follow the simple methods below to measure your finger or an existing ring at home.
How to Measure Your Ring Size
You can measure your ring size using a piece of string or paper and a ruler, or by measuring the inside diameter of a ring that already fits you comfortably.
Mark the point where the string overlaps.
Measure the marked length in millimetres.
Measure Your Finger
A simple piece of non-stretch string, thread, ribbon or paper can be used to estimate your ring size at home.
What You Need
Use a piece of non-stretch string, thread, ribbon or a thin strip of paper, together with a ruler that measures in millimetres.
- Wrap the string or paper comfortably around the base of the finger where you will wear the ring.
- Keep it snug against the finger without pulling it tightly.
- Mark the exact point where the two ends meet.
- Lay the string or paper flat and measure the length to the mark in millimetres.
- Use your measurement with the size chart below.
For the Best Result
- Measure the finger at a normal room temperature.
- Measure two or three times to check that the result is consistent.
- Measure the exact finger on which you plan to wear the ring.
- Do not pull the string or paper too tightly.
- If you are between sizes, the larger size may provide a more comfortable fit.

Measure a Ring You Already Own
If you already have a ring that fits the intended finger comfortably, you can use it to determine your size.
- 1 Place the ring on a flat surface.
- 2 Measure the inside diameter from one inner edge straight across to the opposite inner edge.
- 3 Measure only the inside opening of the ring, not the outside edge.
- 4 Compare your measurement in millimetres with the chart above.
Tips for the Best Fit
A few simple checks can help you get a more reliable measurement.
Measure Carefully
Small measurement differences can affect the recommended size. Repeat your measurement for consistency.
Consider Ring Width
Wider rings can feel more snug than narrow bands. A larger size may be more comfortable for some wider designs.
Check the Fit
Your ring should feel secure while still passing comfortably over the widest part of your finger.
